Known issue when migrating to an Oracle Database

It is not possible to migrate from a non-Oracle Database to an Oracle Database via RMAdmin. The initial use of an Oracle Database is possible and is supported. It is also possible to update an Oracle Database to a higher version.

 

To switch from the standard installation with an Embedded DB to an external database system, e.g. an Oracle RAC cluster, proceed as follows:

  1. Prepare the new database in accordance with the installation instructions for the UMS.

 

  1. Set up a suitable new data source for this DBMS.

 

  1. Select the Embedded DB data source which is still active.

 

  1. Click Copy.

 

  1. Select the destination data source.

 

  1. Start the process after entering the destination login data.

 

  1. Activate the new data source.
